China Miéville is the author of several books, including This Census-Taker, Embassytown, Perdido Street Station and The City & The City (recently adapted by the BBC). His non-fiction includes London’s Overthrow and October: The Story of the Russian Revolution. He has won various awards, including the World Fantasy Award and the Arthur C Clarke Award (three times). He has been a MacDowell and Lannan Residency Fellow, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. He is a founding editor of the journal Salvage.

Ken MacLeod was born in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, Scotland and lives in West Lothian. He has Honours and Masters degrees in biological subjects and worked for some years in the IT industry. Since 1997 he has been a full-time writer. He is the author of fifteen science fiction novels, from The Star Fraction (1995) to The Corporation Wars: Dissidence (Orbit, May 2016), and many articles and short stories.

Adrian Tchaikovsky was born in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire before heading off to Reading to study psychology and zoology. He subsequently ended up in law and has worked as a legal executive in both Reading and Leeds, where he now lives. Married, he is a keen live role-player and has trained in stage-fighting and historical combat. He maintains a keen interest in history and the biological sciences, especially entomology.
